Event Descriptions and Maps
5k Run
Course Map — The World Trade Center Run to Remember will be a competitive 5K (3.1 miles) race. The course is entirely flat running a large part of the distance along the outer perimeter of the island, with beautiful views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and New Jersey. Enjoy one of the most spectacular views crossing the finish line with the Statue of Liberty on your shoulder and Manhattan straight ahead. Each participant receives a tee shirt, a personalized bib, and will be scored by electronic chip.
The Family Fun Run & Walk
Course Map — The World Trade Center Family Fun Run & Walk will be a 3K (approx 2 mile) course around Governor's Island. It will begin immediately after the start of the competitive 5K Race and end on the same finish line as the race. Each participant receives a tee shirt and a personalized bib but will not be scored.
Tuesday's Children Fun Run
The Tuesday's Children Fun Run will be held at approximately 12:30pm. Sign your children up for this fun run via the online registration process. Each child 10 and under will receive a personalized bib and finisher medal, and will be placed into a group to run with similar age children. Distances will also be adjusted based on the age of the children. >> More details here

5k Awards to:
- Top Three Overall Male and Female winners
- Top Three Male and Female First Responder (First responder is an active or retired Fire Fighter, Law Enforcement Officer, EMT or Paramedic)
- Top Three Male and Female Master (40 and over)
- First three Male and Female age-group finishers: 11-14, and five year age categories from 15 to 80 yrs & over
The top male and female overall and the top male and female First responder will each win a pair of Coach Class Domestic travel tickets on Continental Airlines.
There will be no duplication of awards.

Each run and walk participant who is present at the awards ceremony will be eligible to win a pair of tickets on Continental Airlines!
